In the role of QA Manager, this individual will be responsible for managing and leading product test deliverables.
S/He will have responsibility for coordinating test planning, test development and test execution efforts with test architects and test leads.
S/He will be responsible for coordinating hardware planning, budgeting, procurement and lab management.
S/he will be required to observe strict adherence to test processes with team members and should have the ability to provide crisp and accurate status to program management highlighting risks, dependencies and the mitigation plans.
S/He will be responsible for all aspects of people management and should be able to lead by example in all activities through domain knowledge and prior experience.
S/He should be able to manage change, remove obstacles for the team and encourage employee growth and opportunity.
S/He should be able to advice and coach employees to help them develop their skills to best meet their career objectives and current or future business needs.
Technical Skills:
Good understanding of testing methodologies and challenges in system software.
Strong project management skills and experience in delivering system product releases.
Familiarity with test automation tools, inter-operatibility testing and customer support.
Ability to review and coordinate the work output of test architect and test leads.
Soft skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent people management, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Excellent leadership and coaching skills with ability to provide thought leadership.
Excellent problem solving and proactive risk assessment/mitigation skills
