Candidate should have experience in enterprise application testing (test case development and execution).
Minimum of 2 years experience with QTP (Quick Test Professional), testing, quality assurance as a Architect (you MUST have proven experience as a QTP Architect).
Minimum of 2 year experience building and maintaining test automation architectures /frameworks.
Experience in testing browser based UI applications.
Experience with both White Box and Black Box Testing.
Ability to build and maintain a QA lab environment.
Extensive knowledge of testing process, testing methodology analysis and defect reporting tools.
Proficient in the following:
1) Proven ability to drive an Automation project`s technical architecture, design, and implementation.
2) Strong exposure to many different products, QA methodologies and computer environments.
3) Minimum 3 years of Automation development in QTP, WinRunner, and Other automation tools.
4) BS or MS, preferably in Computer Science
5) Strong Windows knowledge
6) Strong Perl knowledge a plus
7) Strong software troubleshooting abilities
8) Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
9) Ability to work in a fast paced environment with little guidance at times
10) SQA Analysis- Ability to read and comprehend business requirements and high level design deliverables well enough to create detailed test cases. Ability to map test cases to business requirements. Basic understanding of development lifecycle and quality assurance phases
11) Automation Integration with Mercury Quality Center
An ideal candidate will have several years work experience in the U.S. working for large financial firms. He or she will be able to bridge the cultural divide between India and the U.S. to deliver a high performance team.
Understanding of Financial and Banking applications or related business experience
Internet experience a plus.

Knowledge and experience in Technology including various architectures, languages, tools and applications.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Transform complex manual test cases into automated functional test scripts with Mercury Quick Test Professional.
Assist in the creating automated scripts for all testing phases (Functional, Regression, etc.). Analyze end user testing requirements and create/maintain reusable automation tests.
Design and Architect modular and reusable automated testing solutions that satisfy testing requirements. Develop functional/regression automated testing solutions using QTP.
Develop custom function/sub-routine libraries to support automated testing solutions. Develop complex SQL Queries to create backend test scripts.
Develop/enhance and document automated testing methodology. Help enhance the automation framework where test scripts are reusable and more easily maintained.
Design, implement and maintain test strategies, test plans and test scripts for functional software applications using Mercury Interactive test products.
Develop detailed documentation to support the automation effort. Execute test scripts and report detailed defects descriptions utilizing Quality Center Integration.
