Candidate will be responsible to work as part of a small software team developing new features and applets to enhance an industry leading engineering and configuration application for the Building Management System (BMS) industry.
Work closely with other software teams and team members, including other development and test teams located both in India and the UK.
Qualification
2 to 4 years of experience in product (software and/or hardware) development in technologies such as C++, MFC, Core Java, Applets, Java Script, SQL 2000 & 2005, UML/OOAD, on Microsoft OSs and development environments.
VB .Net, C#.Net would be a plus
Experience of working in small/ medium sized team.
Experience working as part of an offshored project managed from the UK or US.
Demonstrable experience in component based architectures.
Detailed knowledge of BACnet would be advantageous.
Knowledge of communications protocols - Ethernet, TCP/ IP, RS232 etc.
Experience of version control software - eg Sourcesafe, Subversion etc.
Ability to write specification documents at all levels - Requirements/ Functional/ Test Specs etc.
