Responsibilities:
The candidate will be developing storage virtualization drivers for xxxxxx`s storage product line. The individual will participate in the product development through introduction to release, working closely with QA team, and perform research, design and implementation with minimal guidance. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated proficiency in design, debug, and maintaining software in Linux or Unix-like kernel development environment. Experience in block drivers and/or cluster file systems will be an advantage.
Requirements:
- B.E. in C.S. required, with minimum of 4 years of software development experience in C, experience with developing and debugging Linux, or FreeBSD, Solaris Kernel code.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience in any of the following
areas: iSCSI, SCSI, Linux device mapper architecture, cluster file systems such as Lustre/GPFS.
- Prior software development experience in Linux storage subsystem is highly desirable.
- Candidate must be a team player, willing and able to code to existing architecture while looking for potential areas of improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
