Courion Corporation, one of the players in access governance, provisioning and compliance, is expanding its research and development operations with the addition of a new India Technology Center in Pune.
Following on the heels of financial performance in fiscal Year 2008 and Q1 2009, Courion`s India Technology Center (ITC) will help meet increased customer demand by complementing the company`s existing research and development capabilities.
In addition to its focus on Access Assurance Suite of applications, the ITC will expand the company`s library of connectors that integrate more than 160 applications. It wants to double that number by the end of next year, further improving support for specific industries such as healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and others.

The company has hired Shishir Khedkar, former senior director at Visage Mobile, where he oversaw global development teams, to head the facility as its director of development. Prior to his role at Visage Mobile, Khedkar served as director of Engineering at VeriSign where he was responsible for setting up VeriSign`s development center in Bangalore. Khedkar will be responsible for staffing, day-to-day administrative operations and overall strategic direction for the ITC.
