HCL enters into 6-year agreement with Xerox
Apr 06, 2009 Mumbai: HCL Technologies said it has entered into a six-year transformation agreement with document management company, Xerox Corporation.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange HCL Technologies said it has entered into a six year multi-regional data centre and transformation engagement with Xerox Corporation.
"Our engagement with Xerox is a testament to HCL`s competencies and capabilities which continue to help the customer in its IT transformation by providing innovative IT services scalable to their needs," HCL America Inc (a wholly-owned subsidiary of HCL) Corporate VP and President Shami Khorana said.
The contract would span mid-range services, business continuity and disaster recovery for Xerox`s information management operations. HCL would manage data centre hosting and migration, vitalisation, consolidation and storage architecture services across North America and Europe.
In addition, HCL would provide architecture and consulting services for new technology and system design, adoption and lifecycle improvement.
"HCL has demonstrated their leadership position in delivering global, transformational infrastructure services, Xerox, Chief Information Officer, John McDermott said.
Shares of HCL Technologies were trading at Rs 118, up 10.54 per cent on the BSE.
