SanDisk maintains 10% staff reduction plan
SanDisk Corp. confirmed earlier reports that it plans to cut 10 percent of its 3,000-member worldwide work force.
The Milpitas-based flash memory card maker (NASDAQ:SNDK) on Wednesday also maintained a lowered 2009 capital expenditure forecast of $900 million.
The company is facing reduced spending by consumers who are hard-hit by the world`s current economic crisis.
The company in October forecast capital spending of $1.3 billion, then lowered it in November.
