New Delhi: As an aftermath of the Satyam fiasco, the clients of the company have begun scouting for other companies for the completion of their projects. Some of the clients have approached Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for taking over additional projects.
The company was also asked to take over the team at Satyam. "But we have refused. From our side, we are not going pro-actively after their clients," the TCS Chief Financial Officer, S. Mahalingam said on the sidelines of the CII Partnership summit. The clients like Cisco, Qantas, and Telstra were earlier reported to be looking for an exit from Satyam. Analysts also believe that Satyam`s clients could look at migrating to competitors such as Infosys, TCS and Wipro.
However, the clients did not reveal any such intentions of leaving Satyam. According to Qantas spokesperson, "Qantas has five years remaining on a seven year contract under which Satyam provides IT application maintenance and support. At this stage, Qantas assesses any risks to business as manageable." Even Satyam board member Kiran Karnik refused to comment on the issue.
