Sun Microsystems and Emerson Network Power have launched Sun Modular Datacenter Solution (Sun MD), catering to defence and telecommunications sectors. The two companies have tied up for providing datacenter solutions to meet the country`s growing IT requirements.

Priced at about Rs 2-2.5 lakh, the Sun Modular Datacenter Solution (Sun MD) will be manufactured in the US.

"This partnership is aimed at combining the expertise of both Sun Microsystems and Emerson to provide customers with a world class solution in the datacenter space," he added.
