Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a five-year partnership with UK-based Volkswagen Group to provide IT transformation and support services through its global network delivery model for onshore and offshore activities.
The company will facilitate Volkswagen Group`s operations throughout the UK, and across its brands, including Audi, koda, Volkswagen passenger and Volkswagen commercial vehicles. It will support the Volkswagen Group in its business transformation program. TCS has already mobilized a global team for onsite and offsite operations for the group`s IT services.
"We have been deeply impressed by the dedication and collaborative approach taken both by the local and India-based teams. This gives me great confidence in the future relationship between our businesses," said Nick Gaines, group IS director at Volkswagen.
"By helping Volkswagen Group to consolidate their IT systems onto a single platform, and harness the power of our Global Network Delivery Model, we are not only streamlining their infrastructure, but also their wider businesses processes. In the current economic climate, a healthy business is a key to success," said A. S. Lakshminarayanan, vice president and head of Europe operations at TCS.
