Carborundum Uni versal Ltd (CUMI), part of $2.4 billion Murugappa group, is setting up a 100,000 tonne silicon carbide fusion plant in Volvograd region in Russia with an investment of a sum of Rs 250 crore.
CUMI chairman, Mr M.M. Murugappa on Friday signed an MoU with Vovograd region’s first deputy governor, Mr Y.I. Sizov in this effect.
CUMI, a leading player in industrial abrasive operates 18 plants in India and six overseas.
