Google Chrome

Few months back Google released a new version of its Chrome Web browser as the search giant continues its efforts to get a foothold in a market dominated by Microsoft Corp’s Internet Explorer.

Chrome 2.0 released in March represented the first major update for the browser since Google entered the browser business in September last year. The browser recently saw some new additions going live (some of these were part of March’s beta release).

Here’s looking into what more you can do with Google Chrome.

One of the biggest change that Google Chrome brings is the ability to remove thumbnails from the New Tab page. Presently, when you open a new tab, Google Chrome preloads it with links to websites that a user visits the most, recently saved websites, recently closed tabs, and recently used search engines.

This means users can now hide those embarrassing gossip blogs or what they may want to from the Most Visited section. In case a user accidentally removes a site, he can always click Restore all removed thumbnails before clicking Done.

Another recent change in Google Chrome is Full Screen Mode that will let users hide the title bar and the rest of the browser window by hitting F11 or selecting the option in the Tools menu.

Google says that this mode is designed for viewing videos and presentations in full-screen. Chrome 2.0 will also let users do Full page zoom. Initially users could only zoom the text, not images and other page elements.

Do you find the process of filling out information in forms over and over again tedious? Google Chrome 2.0 addresses this issue.

Google Chrome remembers the text that a user entered on websites to save time and typing in the future. The next time a user fills out the same text boxes, Google Chrome automatically shows him what he entered previously, if what he is typing matches what he entered before. This text appears right below the field you`re filling out. To auto-populate the text field with the saved info, a user simply needs to select it with his mouse or arrows on his keyboard.

In case a user wants to clear out any information, he can do it from the Tools menu.....
